Demolition of the Peel Way site in Harold Wood by Mercury Land Holdings will begin in early February 2026, and will see the redevelopment of the existing site in to much needed family homes.

The proposals include the redevelopment of the site to deliver nine units, which include four 3-bed with ground floor units benefitting from their own private gardens, four 2-bed, and one 1-bed apartments.

Cllr Graham Williamson, Cabinet Lead for Development and Regeneration, said:

“Removing outdated buildings at Peel Way is essential to unlocking new opportunities for housing.

"This is about creating spaces that work for local people and reflect the ambitions of our borough.”

Christopher Hobbs, Director, Mercury Land Holdings, added:

“The programme will run until the summer of 2027, and we are excited to be starting works on the site to deliver family homes in a great location near Harold Wood Station

“As with all our projects, neighbouring residents have already been written to, and we will of course keep them informed of progress throughout the build.”
