Havering Council has brought together local entrepreneurs, innovators, and community leaders for a vibrant celebration of enterprise at the Havering Small Business Awards Networking Event.
The evening (Thursday 12 March), hosted at V Bar in Hornchurch, with the event sponsored by Upminster business Kaani Kaana, saw dozens of businesses from across the borough come together, to connect, share ideas, and spotlight the success stories defining our local economy.
Attendees mingled with past award winners, explored new partnerships, and heard early insights into this year’s awards programme.
With a growing number of small and micro‑businesses powering local growth, the event once again highlighted the drive, resilience, and creativity that make our business community so distinctive.
Nominations for the 2026 Small Business Awards will officially open on Monday 23 March, running until Friday 1 May, inviting residents, customers, and businesses to shine a light on who is making a real difference in our borough.
Councillor Graham Williamson, Cabinet Member for Development and Regeneration, said:
“Last night marked the beginning of our journey toward this year’s awards when we will once again get to celebrate the stories, achievements, and contributions of businesses across Havering.
“It was a wonderful opportunity to connect, collaborate, and build relationships that will strengthen our business community even further and the perfect way to look ahead to this year’s awards.”
The nominations are open on Monday 23 March with entries from businesses themselves as well as the public.
