Havering Council is pleased to announce that nominations for the 2026 Havering Small Business Awards will officially open on Monday 23 March 2026.
Havering residents, customers, and businesses are invited to put forward the outstanding small businesses that make a difference in our communities.
The annual awards celebrate the borough’s vibrant small business sector, recognising excellence in a wide range of achievements and the vital role small businesses play in Havering’s economy.
From high‑street favourites to home‑grown start‑ups, the awards aim to shine a spotlight on the small businesses that go above and beyond for their customers and communities.
It follows a celebratory night last Thursday (12 March 2026), hosted by the V Bar in Hornchurch with delicious food and refreshments sponsored by Upminster restaurant Kaani Kaana, which brought together past finalists and winners, sponsors and partners to network and look ahead to this year’s awards.
Nominations will be open to both the public and business owners themselves, with categories covering everything from Best Shopfront to Best Sustainable Business.
Full details and the nomination form will be available from 23 March 2026 on the Havering Council website.
Councillor Ray Morgon, Leader of Havering Council, said:
“"I'm thrilled that we're back to launch the Small Business Awards for another year!
“These awards are a fantastic opportunity to recognise the creativity, dedication and resilience of Havering’s small businesses.
“We encourage everyone to get involved and help celebrate the heartbeat of our local economy.”
The nomination window is open for five weeks from Monday 23 March 2026 to Friday 1 May 2026.
