Havering’s Cabinet set out their 100 day plan to restore stability to the Council and build a bedrock to a positive vision for the future.
This was launched by the Leader, Councillor Keith Prince AM, at Full Council on Wednesday (22 July 2026).
The election set a clear mandate for the Administration as residents voted for a Council that listens, plans and delivers for the future.
The plan looks at how the Council begins to respond to the issues residents were most concerned about. This includes cleaner streets, safer neighbourhoods, better public services, stronger finances and a borough that puts Havering residents first and who can once again be proud to call it home.
It also looks at value for money and ensuring there is clear governance around decision making.
The plan is split into three priorities. These look at stabilising the Council and understand precisely where we stand to establish a long-term roadmap and then delivering visible improvements.
The Leader of Havering Council, Councillor Keith Prince AM, said:
“We have wasted no time in getting on with the huge task before us. This new Administration are two months in and have done all we can to hit the ground running. Now, we move onto the next phase to create London’s Super Suburb.
"This 100 day plan speaks for itself. We know that when we spoke to residents during the election that they did not feel they were being listened too. That the Council was not delivering the key things they wanted with clean and safe streets and homes for local people. They also asked for an improvement to the services the Council run and deliver.
“This plan picks up these issues and ensures that we start moving forward in the right direction for a better Havering. Yes, we know that we face huge financial difficulties, but Cabinet Members and their Officers are working hard to turn this around and have already made progress.
"In the short time we have been in charge we have achieved a lot, and we will be setting out a clear path and long-term vision for the future to create a place where everyone is proud to live, work, visit and invest.”
