Bellway has been recognised for its outstanding construction quality after the construction site manager won a prestigious NHBC Pride in the Job Award.
The award, widely regarded as one of the highest accolades in the housebuilding industry, recognises excellence in site management and highlights the high standards being delivered at Roe Wood Park, Harold Hill.
Adam Knauer, 35, from Hornchurch, has received a Pride in the Job Quality Award from the National House Building Council (NHBC) in recognition of his work at Roe Wood Park, where Bellway is building 120 homes on land off Tring Gardens in Harold Hill - on the very same land where Adam studied construction at college a decade and a half ago.
The development is being delivered jointly by Bellway and Mercury Land Holdings (MLH), Havering Council's wholly owned housing company, providing homes that are supporting the Borough's housing needs.
Properties at the site include those for private sale alongside 47 affordable properties for the Council which has increased the supply of high-quality accommodation for local residents.
Councillor Robert Whitton, Cabinet Member for Regeneration, said:
"This award is a fantastic achievement and a testament to the hard work, skill and dedication of everyone involved in delivering Roe Wood Park.
"It demonstrates the high standards we expect from development in Havering and shows that we can build homes that residents are proud to live in.
“It is particularly satisfying to know that Adam is a Havering resident and previous student at the Quarles Campus site who is helping to shape the homes for local people.”

"This is the first site that I have run from start to finish so it’s a really big confidence boost.
“I went to Quarles College to learn construction management, so it’s gone full circle now I’m back as the site manager building homes here.”
The award adds to the growing recognition of the quality being delivered through Havering's regeneration programme and underlines the Borough's commitment to providing homes that meet the needs of current and future residents.
