New Zealand attacks: Leader's statement

Published: Friday, 15 March 2019

Councillor Damian White, Leader of Havering Council, said:

“Our thoughts this weekend are with the people of Christchurch following the awful terrorist attack today (15 March 2019).

“Attacks like this set out to divide us and to destroy our shared values and beliefs. I urge people in Havering to stick together and show those who try to incite fear that we are united and stand strong.

“I am sure the victims of this attack and their families and friends will be in the thoughts and prayers of everyone in the borough this weekend.”
