Leader responds to Palms Hotel plans
Last week, we were told that the Palms Hotel, on Southend Arterial Road, will be used as ‘dispersal accommodation’ for asylum seekers.
We are concerned the venue is inappropriate and support to local partners is inadequate.
The Leader of the Council, Councillor Damian White, has written to the Home Office and The Rt Hon Priti Patel.
