Havering Council Leader urges everyone to get their jab

The Leader of Havering Council is urging everyone aged 18 and over to get their vaccine - and the over 40s to get their second jab.

Over 18s urged to get the jab

The doors have now been opened so that any adult, 18 and over, can book to get their first jab. It can easily be booked on the NHS site.

The Leader of Havering Council, Damian White, said:

“We are on the last leg of this massive exercise in making sure everyone gets their jab. I urge everyone to help us get over the line. With the Delta variant growing, one of the best ways of fighting back is booking that appointment. This is why we are also ensuring the Hornchurch centre remains open for at least another month.

“If you are 18 and over book your first jab. If you have had your first one already, please get your second one when asked. If you have friends or family who are still undecided, why not book together to give them reassurance.

“We saw a massive response from people on super Saturday who got their jab, and I thank all those in the NHS and at councils who supported this work. So if you haven’t done so already, please get vaccinated and join those thousands of others who have already done so.”
