“We’re extremely proud in Havering of the many jewels in our crown when it comes to our parks and open spaces.

“In addition to this, there are a host of other places across the borough that our residents find special and means something to them.

“We’re inviting residents and communities across our borough to share these special places.

"Their favourite parks and local knowledge, so we can show off the best of what Havering has to offer.

“As we emerge from the pandemic and slowly get back to normal – there’s never been a better time to get out.

"To discover and explore the wealth of hidden gems we are lucky to have here in Havering.”

The Council is partnering with Mum’s Guide to Romford  a local information website for parents and carers.

They will be sharing some of their content around the best parks to visit and favourite activities for parents and families in the borough.

Jane Ward, Manager at Mum’s Guide to Romford, said:

"Over the last few years I have spent lots of time discovering great places to go with my son and here in Havering we really are spoilt for choice.

“There are so many hidden gems right here in our own borough.

“Here at Mum's guide to Romford I am looking forward to sharing some of my favourite places and showing you some of the true 'gems' that we can all visit."
