Remembrance
Every year Havering remembers those who have fallen on Remembrance Sunday.
There are multiple Remembrance Day parades taking place on Sunday 13 November 2022, to commemorate and honour those who have died in service to their country.
Unfortunately, this means there will be rolling road closures and restrictions in place across the borough to ensure the parades can pass safely.
A full list of streets affected by temporary rolling road closures can be found below.

The Havering Town Hall Car Park will be closed from midnight until 1pm on Sunday 13 November 2022 and Appleton Way Car Park will be closed from midnight until 11am on Sunday 13 November 2022.
Sadly, Remembrance Sunday was commemorated across the borough in a different way in 2020 due to the Covid 19 pandemic.
We encouraged you to ‘Remember at Home’.
The annual Romford Remembrance Sunday parade and service did not take place.
Instead, it was replaced by a pre-recorded, ceremony in partnership with the Romford Royal British Legion (RBL).
Despite the changes, you could still mark the day appropriately by taking part in a ‘Remember at Home’ activity, whether that was watching the pre-recorded ceremony, pausing for the Two Minute Silence, or by placing a poppy in your window or wreaths on your door.

2018 was the 100th anniversary of the Armistice at the end of the First World War and we supported a campaign called “There But Not There”.
Large six foot high silhouettes of a British soldier from the First World War was placed at locations across the UK to remind people of the enormous sacrifice made by servicemen and women in that conflict.
The "Tommy" silhouettes were placed at a number of locations in the borough until the end of 2018
A plaque was placed alongside the silhouette explaining the campaign. "Tommy" was also used to highlight our Remembrance Sunday services, parades and a beacon lighting event on 11 November 2018.
