Daniel Silvia, Assistant Director Early Help and Partnerships
"With 17 years of senior leadership experience across various countries, I have supported vulnerable children and adults as a registered social work leader, programme manager, and Scrum Master.
"My professional journey spans public and private sector organisations, international non-profits, and statutory services within the UK.
"As an EMCC-registered mentor and coach, I have adeptly led large teams and services through significant changes, acquiring extensive knowledge in change management.
"My dedication lies in achieving long-term success, fostering inclusiveness, and enhancing performance standards within public services, driven by meticulous budgeting, ROI analysis, and collaborative efforts with service users and partners.
"I joined Havering in October 2024, and I currently hold the position of Assistant Director for Early Help and Partnership, where I manage the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) front door, assessment service, services for children with disabilities, and frontline teams.
"Additionally, I oversee the youth justice service, early help service, family group conference service, children's centres, and various partnership projects.
"I am gradually taking over a few boards, including:
- Youth Justice Board
- Early Help Board
- Violence Against Women and Girls Board
"I'm also involved in the Multi-Agency Child Exploitation Meeting and I'm exploring developing our Contact Centre for supervising family time for children and their families.
“I am leading on developing our new 'family help' service to provide specialist support to families before their problems get too big.“
“Having recently relocated to Havering, I am enthusiastic about contributing to Havering’s journey towards excellence in public services.
"I am motivated by the conviction that through collaborative effort, innovative solutions, and a steadfast commitment to inclusivity, we can effectuate lasting and meaningful changes.”
