Online planning searches

Our online search facility allows you to look at current and previous planning applications, and take measurements from the drawings.

To view weekly lists of planning applications submitted, visit the applications received web page.

You can also view the weekly list at our planning reception desk in the Public Advice and Service Centre.

Please note our online searches may not work for a short period between midnight and 5am while the system updates.

Types of online search

We offer three types of online search:

Planning application search

Information on all applications received since 1990, whether they are current or already decided. Copies of documents such as application forms and drawings are viewable only for applications received since January 2003.

Planning decision search

This search provides information only on applications that have had a decision issued since 1990. You can also view any conditions or reasons that have been included with the decision and view the actual decision notice for applications decided since January 2003.

Planning appeals search

You can search for any planning, listed building or advertisement appeals that have been lodged since 2003.
