Call for sites
A call for sites is an important part of the Local Plan making process.
It helps us to gather information about possible development sites in the borough and forms part of the evidence base that will be used to inform the preparation of a new Local Plan.
The Local Plan ‘Call for Sites’ ran from 3 March 2023 until 30 April 2023.
During this period residents, businesses and landowners were able to submit suggestions for sites that could be developed in the future for housing, employment, infrastructure and other uses.
The sites submitted during this exercise are not automatically allocated for development, nor do they gain any special status.
They are collated as part of the evidence base and will be subject to further assessment during the preparation of an updated Local Plan.
Any future decision about the inclusion of sites for development within the Local Plan process would be subject to public consultation.
