Suicide helplines
- Samaritans – 24-hour confidential listening service providing emotional support for anyone in crisis.
- Papyrus – Confidential helpline for under 35 at risk of suicide or anyone concerned about a young person.
- The Listening Place – Offers free, confidential and ongoing face-to-face listening, by appointment, to people who feel that life is no longer worth living. Open seven days a week between 9am to 9pm.

Bereavement support
- St Francis Hospice Orange Line – Confidential telephone support for anyone who is bereaved, lonely or isolated. Call: 01708 758649 (Monday through Friday 9am-5pm).
- HBBS Counselling – Local bereavement and general counselling services. Email: enquiries@hbbscounselling.org. Call: 01277 283199.
- Facing the Future – Online peer support groups for anyone bereaved by suicide. Email: ftf@cls.org.uk.
- Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide (SOBS) – Support line to talk about your loss, get help on being impacted by suicide or for information, answered by volunteers who have been impacted by suicide. Open every day 9am to 7pm.
- Suicide and Co – Provides a helpline, online resources from day one, and counselling 6 months after the bereavement. To speak to a counsellor, call or email. Open Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm.
- Cruse Bereavement Support – Helpline run by trained bereavement volunteers, who offer emotional support to anyone affected by grief. You can also email the service through the online form at any time. Open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday between 9.30am and 5pm and Tuesdays between 1pm and 8pm.
- Child Bereavement UK – Confidential support, information and guidance to individuals, families and professionals throughout the UK. Open Monday to Friday between 9am and 4.30pm.
- Sands – Information and support for anyone affected by the death of a baby, including a helpline and live chat. Open Monday to Friday between 10am and 3pm and Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings between 6pm and 9pm.
LGBTQIA+ Support
- LGBT+ Foundation helpline – Support for those who are feeling alone, isolated or concerned. Call: 03453 303030.
- Switchboard – National LQBTQIA+ Support. Call: 0800 0119 100 (10am-10pm daily).
- Kaleidoscope – LGBTQIA+ social space for 17-24 year olds.
- Mermaids – Support for Trans, non-binary and gender-diverse children, young people and their families.
