Havering Council housing estates are privately owned land.
Residents are requested to park considerately to neighbours and within the allocated parking bays and not to park with wheels on footpaths or grass verges.
Some estates have parking spaces to rent and garages to rent.
Access is required for emergency services vehicles at all times.
Garages and entrances to blocks and communal areas such as bin stores must be kept clear at all times.
We are reviewing our policy for parking and if there is a need to introduce parking controls on our housing estates.
If a controlled parking area is introduced onto an estate, anyone with a valid permit for that location will be able to park in available permit bays unless they are marked for a specific purpose, such as disabled drivers.
If unlawful parking then took place, Penalty Charge Notices (PCN) can be issued by the Parking Enforcement team of Havering Council.
To report an abandoned vehicle on an estate, please make sure that the vehicle has been abandoned for at least a week.
However if the vehicle is burnt out, smashed up or dangerously parked contact us immediately as it may be a danger.
You can report an abandoned vehicle online.
If you require further information on parking on your estate please contact your Housing Officer.
