Waiting lists

Waiting lists are held for 1 school year.

At the end of each school year, you will need to complete a new application online if you have still not been offered a place from the waiting list at any of your preferred schools.

It is your responsibility to remember to reapply.

The Havering School Admissions Team maintains the waiting lists for all schools in Havering apart from those that require a Supplementary Information Form (SIF).

For Schools that require a SIF the Admissions Team hold a list of applicants who have expressed an interest for the school and we will liaise with the relevant school before making any offers to ensure that the correct child is offered based on the schools admissions criteria.

Havering are not responsible for waiting lists for schools located outside of Havering.

Parent/carer’s should contact the individual schools / Local Authority to ask about their waiting list procedures.

Priority cannot be given to children based on the date that their application was received or their name was added to the waiting list.

Waiting lists are ranked according to each school's admission criteria.

Your child's position on a waiting list may go down as well as up, for example, if other children with greater priority according to the school's admissions criteria are added to the list.
