What is planning policy

The Council’s planning policies are the basis for promoting and managing development in the borough.

The Havering Local Plan (2021) and Policies Map (2021) were adopted on 17 November 2021 and replace the Core Strategy and Development Control Policies DPD (2008). These can be found on the Adopted Documents for the Local Development Plan page.

Havering Infrastructure Planning supports our policies, vision and objectives, accommodating growth identified within our Local Plan.
