National and regional planning policy

The government's planning policies for England are set out in the National Planning Policy Framework 2012.

To support the framework the Government has published Planning Practice Guidance, which is regularly updated.

Planning Policy for London is set out in the Mayor's London Plan 2015 (consolidated with alterations since 2011).

The Mayor of London has also published Supplementary Planning Guidance documents to provide further detail on particular policies in the London Plan.
