School service changes due to coronavirus

Schools are closed except for children of key workers. The in year admissions applications process is open but we won't process applications until schools resume. Pupils who are eligible for free school meals have the option to claim weekly shopping vouchers from their schools during the coronavirus outbreak.

School meals

We hope that your child will be joining us for lunch and that they will benefit from the experience of eating with others, developing a taste for different foods, and gaining confidence to make the right food choices.

Please note you only need to purchase a school dinner ticket for your child when they are in years 3 and above as Years 1 and 2 are entitled to a free school meal as part of UIFSM.

Feeding the Future

Over the past three years meals have changed to improve the quality and variety available. Havering Catering Services, the provider of meals at your child's school, constantly strive to source and provide the highest quality of ingredients available.

This is to assure you that your child is getting the absolute best value for money when they have a school lunch.

Menus are served on a three week basis, which means children have a chance to try out a variety of new foods, as well as dishes from other parts of the world, such as chicken tikka fillets, enchiladas and moussaka. Ingredients for Havering's school meals are sourced locally or from sustainable sources, such as Red Tractor and Marine Stewardship fish.

Primary menu fees

The meals are also good value for money, with a two-course primary meal costing just £2.20.
